Our Tc Competition team boasts a training regimen that has produced state, national, and world champions.  Advanced sparring classes and seminars help our team members to hone their performance and make noticeable improvements.

Taekwondo does not stop at the local level. Our members regularly take part in the two largest national tournaments in the sport. These tournaments are a great opportunity for athletes to compete against the best practitioners in the nation in their age group, belt level, and weight. And as a bonus our athletes get to boast that they are national competitors when they apply for colleges and jobs.

SAFE SELF DEFENSE PRACTICE

Taekwondo is a martial art and so has a self defense application as well.  By participating in sparring classes, students are able to use the techniques they practiced in class against an actual opponent.  Protective gear and professional oversight and instruction ensures that no one is hurt.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

At what level do students spar?

Students learn to spar usually at orange belt level. Roughly six to eight months into training.

Do kids and adults spar each other?

While there may be classes where adults and kids train together, they do not spar against one another. Practice matches are set up and overseen by our qualified instructors.

Is it safe?

Yes. Students wear full gear and matches are overseen by qualified instructors and staff.

Do I or my child have to compete?

Students are not required to compete in sparring at tournaments.
